Los Angeles Ballet School?!?!?!?
LABS sent me a scholarship to be in their summer intensive program. I am going to be attending this school (because a lot of other better schools are SO much more expensive). I'm trying to do a little research on their school to see their ranking: Are they a successful ballet company? Are they considered a good school? At which level?

What is a good age to start auditiong for ballet summer intensives?
Like at San Fransisco Ballet, Los Angeles ballet, etc. I know you can audition from 12-19 years old but what age do you think I should (I'm 13, almost 14, and just got en pointe)? I can't audition now because I haven't had enough training en pointe but do you think maybe in a few years when I'm 15 it would be a good age for my first summer intensive or should I audition next year? By the way, I go to a really proffesional-like ballet-only academy!

is it too late for me to try to be a professional ballet dancer?
i started dancing ballet 4 months ago, and i love it more than i've ever loved anything. i have such a passion for it, but i am not progressing as quickly as i would like to. my instructor told me i am progressing very quickly though, and she said i will most likely be going into pre-pointe classes this fall, if not sooner. i just turned 17 years old, and it is a dream of mine to become a professional dancer for los angeles ballet. if i work my little butt off and go onto pointe soon, and take more than three classes a week, is there any chance i will be able to be a professional dancer by the time i graduate from college? i should have mentioned, i am not "physically gifted" for ballet. i am not skinny, i have some curves and a little overweight for ballet but it's something i will be working on during the summer. i don't have natural turn-out or naturally good arches. i have been working on both on my own time.

Tips for ballet summer intensive auditions? Los Angeles Ballet, Boston Ballet, New York City Ballet?
Okay, so I am extremely nervous for summer intensive auditions coming this January and I have no idea what to expect. I have only been to one summer intensive ballet audition before. The school I am currently at won't encourage dancers to go to other school intensives because they want us to go to their intensive so basically I have no support. I really have no idea what to expect! Please help. I am planning on auditioning for the Los Angeles Ballet, Boston Ballet, and the New York City Ballet. Also, if you could give me some insight on what a fifteen year old girl should know already? Or what they should be capable of- both demi-pointe and en pointe? I just feel like my ballet school is behind.
