What's the different between the two?
I'm currently in Los Angeles living in a single paying $650.00 a month up in the Hollywood hills. ( I mean think about it, I was 24 when I first moved here and was only paying $395.00, but with the 3% increase every year I'm beginning to think the place is a little to small.) I'm looking for a change and I've lived in everything from a bachelor to now a single. I'm interested in moving into a Studio apt, but want to know what's the diffrent between it and a single apt. I'm not quite ready for a one bedroom for they are why to expensive and frankly I can't afford it anyway. I know a bachelor is one room & bathroom with a kitchen w/out a sink or stove. A single of course is a one room, full kitchen & a bathroom, so what's a studio? Is it just another word for a Single apt? My friend said that it's just a large single apt that's big enough to put a bedroom on one side of the room and a living room on the other, but neither are seperated by walls. Is this true? If so it's what I need.

I am a new driver in Los Angeles, living on my own for the first time, and...?
I need to know how much gas is per week, for a maybe 20mile per gallon car driven two hours or so a day, in stop and go traffic.
Any estimates are welcome...Im just trying to put a budget together for myself!!

are people more well-mannered on the East coast than West?
Ive been to both places, and all 4 corners of the states. I even live in one, California. Seattle, Miami, New York, and Los Angeles. Living near Los Angeles has made me realize that there seems to be a lot of uncaring, rude people here. It also seems that people on the East coast seem to be brought up better. Is this true?
